Dr. Luc Maes

D	r. Luc Maes is a Naturopathic Physician, Doctor of

Chiropractic, Board Certified Classical Homeopath, Certified Acupuncturist and the Director of the Maes Center for Natural Health Care. His background in Nutritional Medicine is comprehensive and his knowledge of both western and eastern medical modalities allows him to address the effect of food, herbs, vitamins and standard medications in a complete and dynamic way.

Prior to opening the Maes Center for Natural Health Care, Dr. Maes had a successful practice at The Chicago Holistic Center where he worked in adjunct to Internists, Endocrinologists and other medical specialists. During this time, he observed the great benefit of integrating standard and complimentary Medicine.

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Maes has extensive speaking experience and hosted the radio program Prescription for Healthy Living. His lectures have been received with great enthusiasm. A few of his most popular courses include: Do You Know What You're Taking?; Food, Drug and Supplement Interactions; Why We Age; and Improve the Body's Internal Environment and Prevent Chronic Disease. His articles have been published in national magazines and he has appeared on syndicated radio and television.

Doctor Maes earned his Naturopathic Medical degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, one of only four accredited Naturopathic colleges in the country. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic and Acupuncture Certification from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois and earned his Diplomat in Homeopathy from the National Board of Homeopathic Examiners.

Darren Lisle

D	arren Lisle is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Diplomat of

Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology (NCCAOM). He is also a Certified Massage Technician and LaStone Therapy Practitioner. His background in Chinese medicine, oriental bodywork and movement therapies provides him with a comprehensive understanding of Eastern perspectives on health.

In addition to his medical practice, Darren is a faculty member at the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine and Lu Ross Academy in Ventura. He teaches on various topics, including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Oriental Bodywork, & Taiji / Qi Gong (Ancient Healing Exercises).

Prior to joining the Maes Center for Natural Health Care, Darren served as the pharmacist and intern director at the Santa Barbara Herb Clinic. There he gained clinical experience in Chinese herbology under the supervision of expert internal medicine and herbalist Dr. Wei-dong Han of Bei Jing,

Darren Lisle received his Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine. He has dedicated himself to enriching our modern lifestyle through teaching and practicing the healing arts.
