Homeopathic Consultation
A Classical Homeopathic Consultation involves a detailed individualized analysis of the mental, emotional and physical picture that accompanies a disease process. A single homeopathic medicine is prescribed after careful consideration. Homeopathic Medicine activates the body's own healing potential in a subtle, safe and gentle way.

Oriental Medical Consultation
An Oriental Medical Consultation includes history, pulse and tongue diagnosis. This evaluation allows for a thorough understanding of bio-energetic changes associated with specific disease processes. Based on your state of health a treatment regimen is recommended which may include Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Shiatsu, LaStone Therapy, Qi Gong and or Tai Chi.

Metabolic Typing
A balanced blood Ph is crucial to maintaining optimal health. Metabolic typing incorporates multiple parameters to evaluate your metabolic state. A diet and supplement program is tailored to meet your physiologic needs. Restoring optimal blood pH changes the body's internal environment and reduces the virulence of bacteria, viruses and fungi, improves cell metabolism, increases weight loss, decreases inflammation, and improves immune function.

Darkfield Microscopy
According to the work of Dr. Enderlein, a darkfield microscopy assessment studies the health of the body's internal environment and the presence of potential pathogens associated with disease. Isopathic remedies are recommended with the goal of restoring the internal environment back to balance.

Chiropractic / Applied Kinesiology / NAET
Chiropractic is a form of manual medicine that normalizes joint motion in the spine and the extremities. Improving the body's structure relieves pain, improves nerve function, lymphatic and vascular circulation and opens up pathways for elimination and detoxification. Applied Kinesiology and other related muscle response testing such as the Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) is incorporated in the Chiropractic care offered.

Movement and Breath Therapy
Oriental movement and breathing therapies restore energy flow, enhance mental emotional centering, oxygenate tissues and improve flexibility and circulation.

Bio-Energetic Health Assessment
This Electro acupuncture biofeedback method screens for dysfunction in the body. This technique allows for further investigation into the unhealthy state of organs, lymphatics and glands.

*Services in addition to the Medical Retreat Program are available and include Yoga, Reiki, Brennan Healing Therapy, Watsu Water Therapy, and other body treatments.

The medical retreat program is an individually tailored combination of the described services. Fee for the Program is $1850. Nutritional supplementation and additional tests are not included in this price. A credit card deposit of $1,000 is required to reserve your program.

Cancellations are 75% refundable of the full fee up to 2 weeks in advance of program. Cancellations with less than 2 weeks notice are nonrefundable.

Participants in the Maes Center Medical Retreat & Spa Program are required to submit our initial intake form and any medical records pertaining to current health concerns at least two weeks in advance of your visit. This allows us to tailor a program according to individual health care needs.

This is a nonresidential 3 day program. Out of town visitors are encouraged to contact the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce for information (1-800-765-6255) about the many unique and affordable hotels, resorts and Bed & Breakfasts in the area. Also, the Maes Center for Natural Health Care is happy to suggest lodging according to your needs and desires.

The Maes Center for Natural Health Care is located at 19 East Mission Street in the heart of Santa Barbara just blocks from downtown and the historic Santa Barbara Mission. The Maes Center for Natural Health Care includes multiple treatment rooms, group meeting space, and Naturopathic and Oriental Medical Pharmacy.
