 ODY  WORK and  MOVEMENT  THERAPY
Therapeutic bodywork and movement therapies benefit the health of one's mind and body. Physically, massage relaxes muscles, stretches connective tissues, improves circulation and increases waste elimination. Bodywork decreases pain and swelling and increases the flow of energy in meridian pathways. On the emotional and mental levels, bodywork and movement therapies relieve stress and also have the potential to unleash repressed feelings and memories deeply stored in our tissues.

 S   HIATSU

This gentle form of body work was developed about 2000 years ago has its roots in oriental medicine. The treatments involve gentle pressure, stretching and mobilization techniques. The goal of the Shiatsu session is to restore balance in mind and body. As part of any health care program shiatsu will support deep relaxation, improve circulation of blood and lymph, detoxification and open meridian pathways activating the free flow of QI, the body's life force. Shiatsu differs from other massage techniques in that the patient remains clothed and no oils are used. Shiatsu therapy benefits a wide variety of conditions and is therefore routinely integrated in our treatment programs.
